Upgrades

Zenstar Software is offering free extension upgrades from Carrara Studio 1.0 to Carrara Studio 2.0, for Thor and TreeDruid. Free Tree Druid Standalone upgrades available

Upgrades are available below for Tree Druid Standalone customers. If you already have Tree Druid Standalone version 1.0 or 1.1, you can upgrade to version 1.4 at no charge.

Version 1.0 to 1.1 upgrade
Version 1.1 to 1.4 upgrade

In version 1.1, OBJ files now contain three groups, called "trunk", "branches", and "leaves". When you import this new OBJ into your 3D program, you can now shade the three groups separately. You could always do this with the DXF format, but many people prefer to use OBJ, because of the uv-coordinates that it supports.

In version 1.4, DXF files are now exported with a LAYER table, which allows for compatibility with AutoCAD2000. In addition, branches and trunk now default to brown, and leaves to green (previously, everything defaulted to red). And, there's a nicer About box now, too!

NOTE: If you have version 1.0, you must upgrade from 1.0 to 1.1 first, before upgrading from 1.1 to 1.4 .
